Chi uscì con Florence Pellegrin?

Florence Pellerin (fl. 1707), was a French ballet dancer and courtesan. She was the official mistress of Philippe II, Duke of Orléans, who was the regent of France during the minority of the infant King Louis XV. She was the mistress of the duke in 1696–1699.

She was engaged in the ballet of the Paris Opera under the stage name "Mademoiselle Florence". She was described as beautiful but not regarded to be very intelligent or entertaining, and the duke eventually tired of her and left her for Charlotte Desmares.

After, she became the official favorite of Louis II de Rohan-Chabot (1679–1738), son of Louis, Duke of Rohan, who caused a scandal by their open relationship, spending a fortune on her and having several children with her. The scandal caused the King to have her imprisoned in a convent by a lettre de cachet.

Louis II Bretagne Alain de Rohan-Chabot, prince de Léon puis quatrième duc de Rohan en 1727, est né à Paris le 26 septembre 1679 et mort à Paris le 10 août 1738.

Filippo II di Borbone, duca d'Orléans (Saint-Cloud, 2 agosto 1674 – Versailles, 2 dicembre 1723), è stato un nobile, politico e generale francese.

Era figlio di Filippo I di Borbone-Orléans e della sua seconda moglie, Elisabetta Carlotta di Baviera, principessa Palatina (1652-1722); fu reggente di Francia durante la minorità di Luigi XV (1715-1723).

Considerato dai suoi coevi come un personaggio ambizioso, Filippo, amante delle arti (tanto da raccogliere a Parigi, nel Palazzo Reale, una famosa collezione di dipinti, costituita soprattutto dall'eredità paterna), accrebbe il proprio prestigio resuscitando il nome dell'antico ordine dei Cavalieri templari (un ordine religioso-militare che era stato definitivamente soppresso dal papa quattro secoli prima, nel 1314), dando così legittimazione al neotemplarismo.
